Cornwall - it seems we can't stay away
I was quietly minding my own business last Thursday but keeping an "eye" on potential jobs, after all I dont take any job, I like to choose my jobs. Before everyone leaps in and becomes critical, remember I'm semi retired and only want to do the jobs I fancy doing, not evey job put in front of me, and while this may sound arrogant thats about 30 a day and I only want to do 1 -2 a week. Last week, as you may have read, Meg and I took a boat down to Padstow ( Or padstein as its

Its been a week of boat moves.....
I had to make the hard decision to leave Meg at home for a couple of days at the start of this week. It wasn't because I didn't want to take her, but as I was entering a port, they might not have let her in. So, one sulky dog stayed at home with Lou, who took her to work. The Journey Begins An early start on Monday morning had me planning to stop and see some friends on the way up to Aberdeen. Unfortunately, the M6 was closed following a serious crash overnight. This meant a

Subaru time
Meg and I had a great day out yesterday, on the first sunny day in a long time we picked up this lovely looking Subaru and whisked it off to http://www.tegsport.co.uk for some works to be done on it for its very proud owner. A great drive up the M6 until we reached the road works near Lancaster services which slowed us down a while, it seems very different in the sunshine compared to being stuck in the rain in a traffic jam. It made me recalculate my departure time on Monda

Not always to plan.....
Not having all the information you need to make your move as smooth as possible can lead to complications that could be factored out and today was a good example. Our customer, had purchased a lathe on ebay, no problem with that he just needed to get it moved from County Durham to Lancashire and we were happy to help him out, so a trip across the M62, up the A1M and into Newton Aycliffe this morning. The seller was all ready to get it moved, sitting on a pallet we made sure i

A trip to Sizewell
Contacted by a customer in Scotland, could we tow a trailer with some ducting to Sizewell for part of the new facility being built? Of course we can, so off to bonny Scotland and on a chilly night helped load up the coil onto the customers trailer, adding our high intensity yellow lights we headed off for a night at one of our favourite hotels ( www.baronycastle.com ) as they are dog friendly and Meg has a great time running around on the front lawns. Then down to Manchester

Bayliner 2152
What a great boat to move, taking this from Holyhead to the owners house so he can work on it over the winter, we will be taking it back for him in the near future. As with all boat moves, we expect them to be on your trailer that is roadworthy, although depending upon the size and type of boat, if its not roadworthy we may be able to put it on one of our trailers to move it - please discuss with us. An uneventful journey, although plenty of folk looking as we drover around t

MG TC
We were really honoured to take this 1948 MG TC from Thurso in Scotland to Grantham in Lincolnshire and a specialised workshop, once the work has been completed the owner will take it to his home in Switzerland where he intends to drive it and what a great car to drive! It has a huge history with it, originaly built and sent directly to the USA, its new owner decided he didn't like it, so it went back to the dealers who then sold it, at this point it was set up to race, and i
